Getting Back into the swing of things! // Goodbye Pretty Little Things #2?

this was taken at the Marwood Café in brighton fyi!

As much as I love Christmas and New Year celebrations, after every one just get the January blues and I just haven't been in the mood to blog at all! I'm really considering whether to stop this blog because I'm not really happy with the content and have a lot more things to deal with at the moment. I think I will continue for another month and then decide! I hope you don't mind!

For the mean time I am going to try and have a schedule for my posts and be really organized...it will be interesting to see long it lasts!

Posts will go up on a Wednesday and a Sunday with an extra one here and there and my plan is that by doing this it will make me happy and enjoy blogging a lot more!

Thanks for putting up with me during all this and I promise I will make my content and things better!

Until next time!

2014 Favourites // Beauty Edition

Look, I know its the 12th January but we all knew this was never going to be out on time didn't we!? Lets crack on regardless...

To this day, my 2013 beauty favourites is still my most viewed post and so there was no doubt that when January rolled round again I would post another one! Again I will split it into a beauty edition and a non beauty edition because let's face it... a year is a long time to discover and rekindle love for items and it might just not fit in one post! Let's start with the Beauty....

The eyeshadow of the year award goes to the Naked 3 Palette!

Ever since I was bought this by my lovely bestfriends for my birthday in October, there hasn't been a time I haven't used it when doing my makeup! It's an absolutely perfect palette with 12 beautiful and wearable shades whether its for the day or the evening! It is expensive and I probably wouldnt have bought it for myself but its 100% worth every penny!

Mascara of the year goes too Benefit's They're Real!

I'm not actually using it at the moment as I was bought a Clinique one for christmas that I've fallen in love with but its too soon to put it into my yearly favourites...I'm sure it'll make an appearance soon!

Whilst we're on the subject of Benefit we might as well cover all of the Benefit Favs!

The boi-ing concealer has been my favourite this year because it covers up blemishes so well and has really been there for me when I need it haha!
The hoola bronzer has also been my favourite bronzer this year because it just adds a matte bit of colour to my incredibly pale face and its great! I've also loved the soap and glory Solar Powder bronzer!

The coralista blush has also been my favourite blush and combined with the high beam or soap and glory highlighter it looks amazing

!

My favourite Foundation of the Year has been a tie between the Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturiser and Rimmel 25hr.
Religiously throughout summer I used the Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturiser and it was amazing, I felt so confident wearing it on holiday and the SPF 100%  helped because I didnt burn once! Its a gorgeous light foundation and I would highly recommend it!
The other one is what I've been wearing in the winter months and it's a light/medium coverage but makes your skin look really dewy and lovely and I would highly recommend!

Lipsticks of the year awards go to MAC in general but I've especially been loving 'Please Me'.
Lipgloss of the Year award goes to the Ted Baker lipgloss that doesn't have a name...grrr.
Lipbalm of the Year award goes the Benefit *again* Lolli Balm because its saved my lips and it adds a gorgeous tint!

Powder of the Year award of course goes to Rimmel Stay Matte powder!

Eyeliner of the Year goes to Clinique 101 Black Diamond.

Until next time!

New Year Resolutions!

Firstly lets begin by saying Happy New Year to you all and I hope 2015 brings you many happy memories etc.

It's been a year since I started blogging and its so crazy to think about! Although I haven't been the best but I am honestly so shocked I've actually kept it up! My second ever post was my New Year Resolution post and I thought we could make this a tradition, but this year I was so poor at keeping them!

I haven't set as many this year because I don't want to be too idealistic but by making slight improvements to my life can help...

1. Have a healthier lifestyle

Whether this means dieting / exercising / not eating as much  .... I will do what it takes to ensure by this time next year, I am a healthier person! This is one I am trying my hardest to stick too!
(drinking more water comes under this too).

2. Keeping my room and work space tidy!

There's no explanation for this other than I am such an untidy person and I loose everything so hopefully if I start the year with a big clear out and tidy... I CAN STICK TO IT!

3. BE HAPPY AND POSITIVE

This is the simplest but potentially the hardest and most important. All these resolutions can make you happier if you stick to them but being genuinely happy is a lot easier said than done! Be the one to always see the bright side of the situation - always see the glass half full rather than half empty. I know this is something I need to try a lot harder doing!

I don't know if you've noticed but these are literally the same as last year but here's hoping 2015 can change that!

Until next time...

1 Year Anniverary! // Reflection Post

Let me just start by saying Happy New Year to all of you but...

CAN YOU BELIEVE I'VE BEEN BLOGGING FOR A WHOLE YEAR? I CAN'T...IT'S CRAZY!

This time last year I was sat in my dad's office and I was browsing (as per usual), the idea sprung to my mind of setting up a blog! It had been something I'd seen a few people do but never even thought I could do one myself! I rang up my friend Kiera because I didn't know where to start, but before I knew it I just couldn't stop writing! I came to love it so much and I still do and its one of the best things I've done, and I just cant wait to continue and grow as a blogger.

I've met so many lovely people and took part in a Gift Swap amonst fellow bloggers, the whole community is so lovely and I jsut cant wait to do new things and have more opportunitys.

*now for the cheesy bit*
I just want to thank all the people that have supported me and will continue to because I'm not the most organised of people and I dont have a schedule but its one of my New Years Resolutions dont panick!

I hope next year when I write one of these Pretty Little Things will have grown and there will be a lot moreo f you reading... thank you and I love you all!

Tiny Topshop Haul! // Blogmas Day 23

So basically I suck at posting everyday! It's almost over and it'll all be back to normal:(

I went into town today to pick up a few last minute bits and all the Topshop makeup was on sale! I only picked up two things but I'm definitely going back after Christmas!

Lip Cream - I opted for this really deep sort metallic plum colour which is SO unusual for me which is kind of why I bought it! Its in the shade

Gel Liner - I've only recently started wearing eyeliner and apparently gel liner is the easiest to apply so I thought I would igve it a try and it also has a gorgeous shimmer in it which is perfect for this time of year!

Colab - Lastly I purchased Ruth Crillys dry shampoo, only really because I was in desperate need of some but I've been meaning to try it for ages, especially as it claims to be invisible! Maybe I'll write a review about it soon...!

Im so sorry for the lack of posts but I'll see you tomorrow for the LAST POST AHH! (maybe i'll sneak in a few more because I've been so bad...)

Until next time

Perfect Christmas Gift (2) // Blogmas Day 20

We're into the 20's already and with 5 days to go till the big day, I thought I'd show you this little gift that would be a perfect little stocking filler or secret santa gift!

It's quite popular this year, well... its definitely news to me as I never even thought of looking at the Essie counter for gifts before!

It is a trio of mini versions of Essie top selling / most popular polishes which are - Mademoiselle , Fifth Avenue and Mint Candy Apple. Similarly to this they also sell a duo of full sized polishes and you can choose from a selection of colours. Both for the same price of £12.99 which if you know your Essie stuff you know that a normal full seized bottle is £7.99 which makes this such a good deal and definitely worth the buy!

You can purchase this in Superdrug or Boots and it will make the perfect gift for someone!

Until next time.
