DIY Wednesday ~ Lip Scrub!
Recently I have been experimenting with different posts, rather than sticking to the normal, as I find it can sometimes be quite un-interesting. I have drafted so many posts and deleted them & this has been the finished result haha!
Anyhow, I thought it would be quite 'interesting' if I did like a mini DIY post every week! I can put my hand on my heart and say I can't guarantee I will religiously post a DIY every week but I can promise I will try my best!
I thought, as it's my first post that I'd start with my favourite (why not?) hehe! So without further a do... (credit to @tutorialsrandom for the photo too!)
Now, I don't know about you but Lush is literally one of my favourite shops of all time! They're products are so gorgeous and you literally can't go wrong! One of my favourite products is the 'Bubble Gum Lip Scrub'! It smells incredible & really softens and nourishes my lips!
Although it is my favourite product, I think £5.50 is a bit overpriced for the amount you get however I know in reality it isn't a lot of money at all. Needless to say I have found this amazing recipe that actually works to create a Lip Scrub just as good!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 Tablespoon of Brown or Caster Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon of Honey ( or golden syrup)
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Oil (any oil)
- Flavouring
- Bowl
- Small Closed Container
Step One
Pour the sugar into your bowl and add the oil. Don't mix it yet, and then dribble the honey or golden syrup on top! Be sure to dribble and not to pour the honey, because pouring a lot will make it sticky; only a bit of honey will work and then, mix it together!
Step Two
Stir away, however stop stirring when its chunky N O T smooth! If it is smooth than it won't be a lip scrub!
Step Three
This step is optional, however you can then add a food colouring of your choice, I have chosen pink, however it's entirely up to you. Then mix it together.
Step Four
Again, this step is optional, however you can now add flavouring to your lip scrub. I have opted for a vanilla, however it's again entirely up to you! Once you have done this, your lip scrub is complete. You can then place it in a small container or somewhere to keep it safe.
So there you go guys. That was my first ever DIY post, but let me know if you would like to see more! I really hope you can try this, and if you do be sure to let me know!
