Ultimate Summer Beauty Tips!♥️

Everybody I'm sure loves the summer weather - some a little bit more than others, however I think we can all agree there's a few things that we cant go without through summer. Summer, just like winter requires  its own special beauty tricks. After all, it is in summer that your eyeshadow becomes a greasy pool in your eyelid creases, your hair falls flat or frizzes to a crisp and your hair colour looks like mud against your tan.
Going away on holiday is a little bit different and I will make a different blogpost regarding those issues because if your life myself overpacking is a big issue!
Nevertheless, here are some summer essentials....

Foundation is Out, Tinted Moisturiser Is In!

Foundation in the summer is just an extra layer of stuff on your skin that is unnecessary. Personally in summer I wear minimal makeup, as do a lot of other people, and foundation is generally something I don't wear anyway. If you feel to naked without foundation opt for a tinted moisturizer instead! It is a lot lighter on your skin however it still covers, it just doesn't feel as 'cakey' on your skin.
I'm warning you, some of you may never go back to a foundation again!
The prices for tinted moisturisers vary, however the Nivea Tinted Moisuriser is always a good one to use - its cheap and does its job, and if your only wearing it for a few months a year it is ideal because you don't want to splash out on an expensive one! I personally use the Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer. A lot of tinted moisturizers also contain an SPF which is ideal to, because smothering your face in sun lotion a few times a day, can really clog your pores.
Go for a Bold Nail Polish!

Bright colours are definitely in this year, and if you don't feel confident in wearing brighter clothes, paint your nails a vibrant colour. They look great on most skin types, they look especially striking on darker skin tones! Also, consider your shoe choices if you wear bright colours because as much as the bright colours look great, you don't want to clash with anything!

Blotting Papers!
Blotting papers are always your best friends in summer especially if you have oily skin generally! You can pick these up anywhere, and I recently tried Superdrugs own version and there perfect. You don't want to spend a lot on little things and these are super cheap, they do the job and there are lots of sheets included! They are small and compact too, so you can buy them from anywhere!

Wear Sunglasses!
This is pretty self explanatory and general, however your eyes are a part of your body that age quickest and easily. Wearing UV protectant sunglasses prevent this so make sure while you are choosing your sunglasses they have a little sticker that says 'UV Protectant' on the side!

Hydrate!
Again this is very general and self explanatory, however as much as it is important to keep hydrated all year round it is absolutely vital in summer! I am one that doesn't drink a lot of fluids and suffers with excruciatingly painful headaches, however at the moment I am making a real effort to drink more water as it also keeps your skin looking perfect too! This is vital if you are not wearing a base on your face in summer too!
 Fake Tan!

Laying in the sun all day is  s o bad for your skin and I'm sure you have heard that a million times! Using fake tan allows to show off the gorgeous bronze skin unharmed! It will stop you from having to lie in the sun for hours trying to tan! Laying in the sun is actually something I love to do when I'm on holiday, however as I'm not assured I will tan, my sun laying wont be as intense hehe!
Protect Your Hair

Hair is something I know I forget about about protecting when I'm on holiday, and I always wash my hair everyday when I'm away, which I know is not good, however I feel so dirty I feel like I have to. As I wash my hair everyday I need to supply the nutrients that I'm washing out of my hair with something, so make sure you bring a good hair care treatment for your holidays.
Also, people rave a lot about coconut oil for pretty much everything, however another tip is to put coconut oil in your hair when your at the beach or down by the pool to add that extra shine and protect your hair. Just wash it out every night and your hair will feel super hydrated!

I hope some of these ideas give you some help for the summer months ahead!
